LABOR DAY: Large Professor, Lord Finesse, Edan & More at BK Fire Proof.

BK outdoor party this Labor Day with a host of notables spinning and performing: Large Pro with Neek the Exotic, Lord Finesse, Edan, K-Def along with Truth & Soul’s Akalepse and Moss Bro on the wheels o’ steel. Clap your hands because RapFix has learned that “” is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 18, with special bonus features and deleted scenes. Following the lives and careers of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi White, the film explores how the influential group first got its start, their success and subsequent break-up. The doc features commentary from each member of the group as well as hip-hop contemporaries like Pharrell, Pete Rock, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers and Common. The DVD’s special bonuses include three featurettes: ‘Mike’s Journey,” “Bringing Beats to Life” and “On the Red Carpet at the Los Angeles Film Festival Premiere.” It also features commentary from director Michael Rapaport, deleted scenes and extended and alternate scenes as well.
